At Google I/O we met a lot of excellent developers and discussed how BTBuckets can help them leverage their objectives by grasping the best of what segmentation has to offer. And we met
Thaya Kareeson, who developed the
WP Greet Box WordPress Plugin, a simple yet powerful segmentation plugin with over 170,000 downloads, who was probably the most excited with the dynamic content delivery capabilities offered by BTBuckets.

Thaya has a vision of leveraging WordPress to create a chameleonic website that changes and adapts completely based on user characteristics and navigation behavior. We share this view with Thaya but we don't understand a tenth of how WordPress works and what can be done. But we knew then that we'd have to help Thaya make his dream come true with WordPress.
We're developing a API (currently in private beta) that allows developers to access BTBuckets data from their own applications. Thaya used this API to create the
WP BTBuckets WordPress Plugin.- a plugin for WordPress that allows you to use BTBuckets' segments to create customized pages based on segmentation data. This plugin integrates the BTBuckets's segmentation capabilities directly in the WordPress interface:

What made us really proud was our non-involvement with the development process. Thaya though of the idea, studied the BTBuckets API, and developed a game-changing function in one of the most prominent content management systems without any development assistance from our team. Here's what Thaya has to say about BTBuckets and our API:
Working with BTBuckets API is dead simple and super flexible. On top of that, the BTBuckets team has superb support. If you don't see what you need in the API, you can shoot the BTBuckets guys an email and they will most likely be able to help you do what you wanted to do in a timely manner. They really have their act together. BTBuckets is a revolutionary service that I believe will shape the future of how content is delivered to users on the internet. I encourage every developer to get their hands dirty and start push this API to the limit to help shape the future of the web.
BTBuckets already has a WordPress plugin that automatically installs the tag on your site (read more about it
BTBuckets Wordpress Plugin). We are officially discontinuing this plugin to support Thaya's.
We're sure that this is the first step to a strong developer ecosystem. We believe that developers can really add value to our application by creating new features and insights that we have not thought about or do not have the time to pursue.
We will be publishing our API structure shortly, follow our
Twitter account for more information.
