Free Behavioral Targeting and Segmentation - BTBuckets

I´m an enthusiastic fan of BtBuckets. Its possibilities are never - ending and I´m amazed day-by-day for all the options and actions we can take with BtBuckets at our sites.

I followed the new possibilites that we can take with the integration with Site Apps, but by now I prefer to work with BtBucket as-is, because following your guides I did yet integration with google Analytics and Adwords, and Optimizer, and...

I noticed today that old targeting preset actions are removed and now only is possible custom code. Is this a temporary error, or we must migrate "yes or yes" to Site Apps and div modificator?

Thank you very much and, please, continue developing this AWESOME service !!

Hi Antonio,
Enthusiastic fans are the true driver that help BTBuckets to be an AWESOME service :)  It is always rewarding to receive compliments like yours. Thank you very much.

BTBuckets is designed to be the ultimate segmentation engine.  We introduced the "Targets" features to help websites implement site updates for segmented users.  We created some sample codes that we thought would ultimately generate a plethora of segmentation applications.  And this happened.  However, these apps were not shared - and we thought that if there was a "marketplace" for this, everyone would benefit.
That's where SiteApps.com was born.  We purposely separated the platforms to make sure that we focus segmentation in BTBuckets and app deployment in SiteApps.  Today, any developer in the world can create a "targeting code" and share it with all websites with an instant install through SiteApps.  We just launched and already are approaching 100 apps in the marketplace.

However, even though we removed some of the sample "targeting codes", you can still use the targeting code feature and input any Javascript you wish.  But we have worked a lot during the last 12 months on SiteApps, and believe that working with both platforms brings the best combination of features.

We also listen.  If you do not want to use SiteApps, please let us know why.  Customer feedback is crucial to us, and we listen carefully.

Did you took a look at SiteApps?  What about giving it a try?  There's a fully-functional free version.

If you need any help, please let us know. We'd be glad to help you kickstart your project.

Happy targeting!

BTBuckets Team.

Many thanks for your reply.

I will give a try to siteApps. I think my main trouble is that I implemented btbuckets with a lot of modificataions that you suggested at the blog and the forum: playing with bt variables and analytics and so on,... and now i must "reimplement" for SiteApps.

Changing to another question: i have btbuckets pluging in firefox 3.6.18 It works in analytics but not in adwords. Any idea ?

Thankx very much

Hello Antonio,
Well, you don't need to reimplement anything.

I mean, you can keep your actual BTBuckets implementation, and then use the SiteApps/BTBuckets integration.

About the plug-in issue, seems that Google has changed some thing.

We need to check it out and then, fix the plugin.

While we are solving the problem can use the following implementation:

Copy the code between <noscript> and </noscript> of your "Remarketing Code", paste it into a new Target, and then select "Pure JavaScript".

Please let me know if works or if you need any help.

Cheers,

BTBuckets Team

Thank you very much, I will inform to you if it works
