BTB, SEO and cloaking

Hi Guys,

BTBuckets is really awesome, your plugin tool is really cool i'm going to implement this on a couple of website very soon.

I just have a question regarding potential seo penalties because of cloaking.

Correct me if i'm wrong but redirecting users automatically could be considered as cloaking from a google perspective couldn't it ? (and therefore could penalize you in your SERPS).

You've pointed out a very good topic.

Indeed, some users could use BTBuckets to redirect to another page from a specific keyword, configuring cloaking. However, we strongly do not recommend to use BTBuckets for this purpose.

We're studying some solutions to avoid or warn our users about BTBuckets misuses.

Take a look at Google's interpretation of "cloaking". If you're following the same reasoning than you shouldn't have a problem.

BTW because the redirect happens using JavaScript it's more difficult to detect by spiders. Not impossible but more difficult.

Hi Jean Jacques-

They could penalize you. That's why you should hire an internet marketing company like http://www.webimax.com. They have the tools and the knowledge to perform these services better than a company could in-house.
